Educator | Writer | Herbal Remedy Maker
My life is grounded in nourishment, utilizing locally abundant backyard plants and facilitating the accessible sharing of skills and knowledge. I work with people to cultivate wellness through dynamic herbal education according to their individual needs. I feel most at home creating herbal food as medicine for loved ones.
As an herbal educator I strive to make remedies with herbs and plants that are close to my Eastern and Northern European ancestry. I acknowledge that I am harvesting plants on the currently occupied lands of the the Sauk & Meswaki, Očeti Šakówiŋ and Ho-Chunk peoples in the land also called the Driftless.
I love to connect and network with other herbalists and radical folx who challenge and bring awareness to the complexities of oppression that create barriers to health. I welcome barter, sliding scale and collaboration.
My foundational approach is inspired by the Kitchen Medicine and Vitalist herbal traditions. I honor my teachers: Carol Jacobs, Linda Conroy, Rose Barlow, Carol Willis, and Blazing Star Herbal School.
I believe in empowered health while honoring choices.
