//Winter Herbal Wellness

Wednesday February 6th

6:00-7:30 Viroqua Food Co-op

Cost: $25/members $30/non-members

Oh the winter winds! They can leave us feeling down and out. But don’t despair, the world of medicinal plants offers strength and comfort. This class will offer foundational nutritional and herbal suggestions for whole family health. Part lecture & part discussion, bring your questions!

//Herbal Soups & Broths

Wednesday March 6th

6:00-7:30pm Viroqua Food Co-op

Cost: $25/members $30/non-members

In true kitchen herbal style we will create a delicious, immune supportive soup using seasonal veggies, herbs and bone broth. Learn the benefits of homemade broths and herbal based soups and participate in a hands-on demo and sampling of the soup.

Wednesday April 3rd

Water is one way to extract the medicinal and nutritional aspects of herbs. This class will explore the different ways to brew dried plants as teas, decoctions and infusions. There will be demonstration and sampling of brewed botanicals.

//Spring Herbal Greens

Wednesday May 1st

6:00-7:30pm Viroqua Food Co-op

Cost: $25/members $30/non-members

In backyards, fields and forests green plants are emerging and with them opportunities for fresh local food. In this class learn about the benefits of common plants such as Dandelion and Nettle and how to incorporate them into cooking and as herbal remedies all year long.
